The General Health Certificate
This document is common to all overseas destinations. Your pet is examined by a government appointed veterinarian, within 48 hours of the flight departure. The General Health Certificate certifies your pet's status as free of any signs of contagious disease, and apparent good health. This document will accompany your pet on its flight along with any other specific paperwork. These regulations vary from country to country, and may include insecticidal rinses, rabies vaccinations, or blood tests. Jet Pets will be only too pleased to assist with advice on the protocol, or take care of them on your behalf. For further information on exporting and importing animals please refer to The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service, Animex Database or our links page. |
