Health & Vetwork Requirements to Enter Australia

Will My Pet Require Vaccinations when entering Australia from New Zealand?

Pets must be treated for parasites within 5 days of travel. These are designed to ensure no fleas or ticks are present prior to departure. Common vaccinations such as F3 for Cats and C5 for dogs must be up to date for entry into Australia. Please also note that if your pet has previously lived outside of Australia or New Zealand, additional blood tests or treatments may be required so speak to our team well in advance of your move.

When Must My Pet Be Examined When Moving To Australia From NZ?

Your pet must be examined within 72 hours of export. Jetpets have their very own veterinarian partners who will ensure that the regulations are met for the authorities. These include:

    • Check overall health and fitness for travel.
    • Verify microchip.
    • Ensure no signs of disease.
    • Complete and sign the export certificate (ACVM-approved).

How do I arrange the required Health checks for my Pet?

Jetpets are able to manage this on your behalf that will ensure we follow the New Zealand’s Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) guidelines. The Health Check must be booked in advance and be completed by authorised veterinarians to ensure export permission is granted
