The Impact of PetRescue on Australian Pets & People
PetRescue continues to deliver remarkable outcomes for pets, adopters and rescue organisations nationwide. Over the course of the 2025 Calendar year:
– 69,983 pets found loving homes via PetRescue
– 34.9 million people visited PetRescue, increasing awareness and adoption opportunities
– Pets found homes 14.4% faster than in 2024, reducing time in care
– In 2025, the Home2Home program reached a huge milestone: more than 1,000 pets have been kept out of the rescue system since the program began in 2020.
– 6,165 calls for help were answered for people and pets in crisis
– 77 new rescue organisations joined the PetRescue community, expanding national support networks.
These milestones highlight the power of collaboration in improving welfare outcomes for rescue pets and the people who care for them.
