BENNY

MELBOURNE to LONDON, UK

Nathan and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped us over the past 18 months with the care of our beloved pets for our (cough) 6-8 week holiday. Well it certainly turned out long than we had expected and we never thought we would have been away from out pets for so long.

Here is our thank you list for all our pets foster parents at some point over the last 18 months.
* Peter & Loretta at Bayside Boarding Kennels – those waist lines on the dogs have never been so slim. I never knew a Lab could have curves!!! Your care and photos from a far made a real difference.
* Will & Gemma – who let our dog board in their back yard. Hopefully your backyard has recovered somewhat from three big dogs.
* Zoe, Tom and Ellis who house and dog sat – Thank you for being their buddies and giving them cuddles.
* Paul & Cherie who also house and dog sat – My lord it must have been a crazy house with 4 dogs and one cat…..
* Mum and Dad Roberts who welcomed Benny into their home for 12 months – Sorry that Little Jack had to say goodbye to his little buddy.
* Rhiannon and Laura the girls from Jet Pets who did all the running around to get them on the plane to Heathrow. I am sure those pets looked more refreshed than any human walking off a plane.

Well the pets arrived safe and sound about 4 weeks ago. It was quite hectic for a little while as everyone had to learn new house rules. I feel like I have been supervising 4 toddlers which is a handful. Always telling someone to leave someone else alone and to sit still and be quiet. Suffice to say they have all got the hang of it very quickly and they all play nicely and give each other space which is always a challenge in a small London home.

London is extremely dog friendly and has a far more European approach to dogs in that you can pretty much take your dogs anywhere. It is very much the exception to the rules that a dog can’t go into a shop, park, train, bus, ferry, National Park, English heritage manors and castles. It certainly makes for a change. We have been camping with the dogs and out of hundreds of campsite only a couple insisted no dogs. So needless to say our dogs are rather happy with this arrangement and are enjoying being able to go to so many places. The even took a ferry trip with us to the Isle of Wight and sunned themselves on the top deck as we sailed past the Queen Mary Cruise Ship.

So once again, thank you to all and here are some long overdue photos of our pets enjoying the fine English weather and the café lifestyle waiting for any food to be dropped onto the ground.

Many thanks again, Nathan, Kate & Matthew xoxox

CABBY

MELBOURNE to LOS ANGELES, USA

Hi there Emily ...

Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH, to you and to Jason and to Matt, and to the whole Jet Pets Team, for everything you did for precious Cabby. He is in the air right now, of course ... I am watching the clock here in LA, and every hour at 25 minutes past I say, "Cabby has been flying for ___ hours now!!!" I will be setting my alarm early in the morning to go and pick him up, and I am SO EXCITED, and SO GRATEFUL to all of you for your amazing and supportive service.

You really were truly wonderful! Please let everyone know from me, how incredibly appreciative I am. And Cabby too!

With love and thanks, Skye

CHEESECAKE

SYDNEY to LONDON, UK

Hi Laura,

Many thanks for all your help getting our pets booked in through JetPets and safely over to the UK. Both the dog and cat arrived in very good health and are now enjoying the English country side. We were extremely surprised at how well they travelled, in particular the cat who was in a very buoyant mood from the moment she got here. We had expected days of sulking!

Thanks again to you all at JetPets. Cheers Duncan
